Blog Tour: A Season of Eden - Jennifer Laurens - Author Interview

Today, Jennifer Laurens is here with an author interview, courtesy of the Teen Book Scene blog tour for her book, A Season of Eden. Thank you for being here, Jennifer! You can follow along with the tour here, or by clicking through the banner. Enjoy!

If Eden had to choose between love or fame, which would she choose?

She's willing to enter into a controversial and dangerous relationship with a teacher, Love.

You are back in high-school and you get caught in an embarrassing and totally compromising position. What do you say to get out of that situation?

Eden wouldn't make any excuses for her feelings, or for displaying them. If someone walked in on her and James kissing - another student - she'd brush it off. But she's way too smart and careful and manipulative at first to not be excruciatingly cautious.

What would the front page headline of a newspaper say about Eden? What would she not want it to say?

Eden doesn't dream of headlines, she's vain but not a fame whore.

If Eden met the characters from your other books, would they get along?

Eden's very selective. I doubt there's anyone in my other books she'd care to get to know. Except Matthias.

What would their impression of each other be?

In passing, they wouldn't notice each other.

What is your or Eden's favourite song at this moment in time?

The song James wrote for her, the one she inspired. Of course.

Thank you again for being here, Jennifer! Love these answers!

---------------

He's my teacher. I shouldn't be alone with him. But I can't help that he's irresistible.
I let the door silently close at my back. He stared at me, and a taut quiet stretched between us. "I like hearing you play," I said, moving toward him. He turned, in sync with my slow approach. He looked up at me but didn't say anything. I rested my clammy hand on the cold, slick body of the baby grand. "May I?" The muscles in his throat shifted, then he swallowed. "Eden." My knees weakened, like a soft tickling kiss had just been blown against the backs of them. "Is it okay?" I asked. His gaze held mine like two hands joined. He understood what I was really asking. "Let me stay," I said. "Please." "You're going to get me in trouble," he said.
